Acquisition of Uniqema from Imperial Chemical Industries Plc

A Prospectus for the proposed Admission to the Official List of the Financial
Services Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange of the Ordinary
Shares and the Listed Preference Shares of Croda International Plc ('Croda') has
been published today.  It is anticipated that Croda securities will resume
trading on Friday, 1 September 2006.

Copies of this Prospectus have been submitted to the UK Listing Authority and
will be available shortly for inspection by the public at the UK Listing
Authority's Document Viewing Facility which is situated at:  Financial Services
Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS (Tel:  [phone]
1000) and will be available at Croda's registered office at Cowick Hall, Snaith,
Goole, East Yorkshire DN14 9AA, during normal business hours on any weekday
(Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays excepted).
