Croda International Plc   Croda announces that Abbey National AESOP Trustees
Limited acquired on 10 October 2003, 9,353 ordinary shares in the company for
the purposes of the Croda International Plc Share Incentive Plan at a price of
289p per share.  These shares will be used to satisfy employees' contributions
to the Plan deducted from their September pay.  The directors, as contributors
to the plan, have acquired the following interest in the shares:-
