Board Appointment

Croda International Plc today announces the appointment of Alan Ferguson as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2011.

Alan was Chief Financial Officer and a director of Lonmin Plc until December 2010. Prior to that he was Group Finance Director of The BOC Group until it was acquired by The Linde Group in 2006. Before then he spent 22 years in a variety of roles at Inchcape plc, including 6 years as Group Finance Director from 1999. Alan is a Chartered Accountant and has been a non-executive director of Johnson Matthey PLC since January 2011.

Mike Buzzacott will retire from the Board in August after 7 years as a non-executive director. At that point, Alan Ferguson will take over as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Nigel Turner will become Senior Independent Director.
