RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 28^th August 2013, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 3,679 Ordinary Shares at prices of €14.79 and £13.13 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,418,177 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 729,414,431.
