RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 14^th August 2013, it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 1,491 Ordinary Shares at a price of £13.13 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,423,276 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 729,409,332.
