RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 5^th January 2011 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 318 Ordinary Shares at a share price of £11.36 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,357,157 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,151,756.
