RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 13^th July 2011 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 5,019 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.18 and €11.8573 per Ordinary Share and at prices of £11.36 and £14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,018,701 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 716,440,351.
