The Board of Crest Nicholson today confirms that Peter Murray, executive
director, will retire from the Board on the 31 October 2003 as previously
indicated in the company's Interim results announcement on 1 July 2003. Peter
joined Crest Nicholson in 1989 and was appointed to the Board in 1995.  The
Board thanks him for his contribution to the Group and wishes him well for the
future.
