Legal Settlement/Resignation

Creightons PLC 10 May 2001 Creightons plc ('the Company') The Company is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the disposal of part of its freehold land at Storrington, as agreed at the recent EGM. The Company further wishes to announce that John Frieda has settled its passing off action against Creightons plc on agreed terms satisfactory to both parties. Creightons plc have agreed to change the packaging of BlondE and make a contribution to costs. The Company also wishes to announce the resignation, on 9 May 2001, of Roger Lane-Smith as Chairman of the Board and as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr Lane-Smith has served as a non-executive director of the Company for three and a half years, and became Chairman at the end of 1999. During this time, he has helped guide the Company through a difficult trading and business period, and he feels that, with the Company's situation now more stabilised than in the recent past, and with the settlement of the above dispute with John Frieda, the time is right for him to leave the Company. The directors will make a further announcement in due course concerning the appointment of a replacement non-executive director, and in the meantime, Mr William McIlroy, executive Vice-chairman, will be acting Chairman of the Company.
