Comprop Limited 29 September 2000 ComProp Limited ('ComProp) ('the Company') ComProp has today entered into arrangements to sell two freehold properties to Guernsey-based property company Walter Property Limited for £10.5 million in cash. The properties concerned are Television Centre, St Helier, Jersey and Television House, including the domestic property Gypsland, St Sampson, Guernsey. Since the disposal of Channel Television part of the properties were rented to Channel Television at an annual rent of £600,000. A small proportion of the remainder of the space was occupied by Group companies with the balance unoccupied. The transaction will generate a profit on disposal of £3.7 million on the current book value of the properties concerned. The net proceeds, which are expected to amount to £10.35 million, will strengthen the Company's balance sheet, and will be retained in the company for the time being. The Company expects to complete the transaction in Guernsey on Tuesday, 3rd October and expects to have received the total proceeds by 9th October. Arrangements have been made for subsidiaries of ComProp to continue to occupy parts of Television Centre and Television House at current market rents.
