Dato'Ahmed Pardas Bin Senin, a nominee of UEM Builders Berhad, has resigned as
Deputy Chairman and a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 25
January 2007.



Costain announces that Mr Mohd Hussein Bin Abdul Hamid, a nominee of UEM
Builders Berhad has been appointed to the Board of Costain as Non-Executive
Director with effect from Thursday 25 January 2007. Mr Hamid has not held a
directorship in a public quoted company on the London Stock Exchange in the last
five years. There are no details to report in respect of Listing Rule 9.6.13(2)
to (6).  Mr Hamid is a Director of UEM Berhad and a Director of numerous other
companies within the UEM group in Malaysia.
