                                 AGM statement

At the Annual General Meeting to be held on Friday 23rd September 2005 the
Chairman of the Company, Sir David Rowe-Ham, will make the following statement
on current trading:

'Trading remains difficult both as to volumes and margins. In the year to date
the Company has traded at a small loss, however, increased sales are anticipated
in the medium term which should contribute to restoring profitability.'
