Update on Exploration Work at Sanankoro Gold Discovery in Mali

Cora Gold Limited, the West African focused gold exploration company, is pleased to announce an update on exploration activities at the Sanankoro Gold Discovery ('Sanankoro' or 'the Project') in the Yanfolila Gold Belt, Southern Mali.

Highlights

·     Advancing 5,000m drilling programme at Sanankoro to further investigate sulphide and deep oxide potential and extend existing and potential new shallow oxide targets

·     Second reverse circulation ('RC') and diamond core ('DC') rigs commenced operating

·     New rigs complement already operating RC and rotary air blast ('RAB') rigs

·     DC rig targeting extensions to known Resources at Zone B where access issues curtailed drilling in the last RC campaign

·     Work targeting step out holes to Resources as well as undrilled new targets

Jonathan Forster, CEO of Cora Gold, commented, "This is an exciting time at Sanankoro with four rigs now scheduled to operate through to the end of the year. The objective is to selectively step out from a known resource area, as well as access more information on the sulphide potential.  In parallel, new targets are being subjected to an initial exploration drill programme.  The team is doing an excellent job on the ground and we are looking forward to receiving the assay results back in due course and updating shareholders on the results."

Details

The Company is advancing exploration activities at the Sanankoro Gold Discovery in the Yanfolila Gold Belt, Southern Mali (see announcement dated 19 November 2019).  Accordingly, a 5,000m drilling programme at Sanankoro is underway to further investigate the sulphide and deep oxide potential below known mineralisation at key prospects and extend existing and potential new shallow oxide targets.   Two more rigs including a second RC rig and a DC rig have now commenced operating at the site to complement the RC and RAB rigs already operating; this brings the total rigs operating at the Project to four.  Notably, the DC rig is targeting extensions to known Resources at Zone B where access issues curtailed drilling in the last RC campaign.

Notes to the Editors

Cora Gold is a gold exploration company focused on two world class gold regions in Mali and Senegal in West Africa. Historical exploration has resulted in the highly prospective Sanankoro Gold Discovery, in addition to multiple, high potential, drill ready gold targets within its broader portfolio. Cora Gold's primary focus is on further developing Sanankoro in the Yanfolila Gold Belt (Southern Mali), which Cora Gold believes has the potential for a standalone mine development. Cora Gold's highly experienced and successful management team has a proven track record in making multi-million-ounce gold discoveries which have been developed into operating mines.
