Creston PLC 26 March 2001 DAVID HANGER TO JOIN BOARD OF CRESTON PLC The board of Creston plc announces that the Publisher of The Economist Newspaper, David Hanger, is to join the Creston board with immediate effect as a non-executive director. Creston plc, a FTSE-listed company, re-launched itself earlier this year as a marketing services group. It was formerly a property investment company. David Hanger, a director of The Economist Group, joined The Economist in 1968. He was appointed worldwide advertising director in 1979 and took on further responsibilities as director of group development in 1990 and director of special magazines in 1994. Welcoming the appointment, Creston chief executive Don Elgie said: 'David Hanger is a great addition to our board. His knowledge of marketing and wide business experience will be invaluable to us as we drive forward our plans to build Creston into a major force in marketing services within the next five years'.
