Further re Possible Property Disposal

The Company announced on 19 November 1999 that it was engaged in preliminary
talks with Ashtenne Holdings plc regarding the sale of some or all of its
property portfolio. These discussions are continuing satisfactorily and a
further announcement in respect of the proposed property disposal is expected
to be made shortly.

However, contrary to speculation in the press yesterday, the Company has not
been in discussions with any internet or e-commerce related business with a
view to the Company acquiring any such interest.
