Appointment of David Grigson as Non-Executive Director and Chairman-elect



Creston plc (LSE: CRE), the Insight and Communications Group, today announces the appointment of David Grigson to the Board of Creston plc as Non-Executive Director and Chairman-elect.

David will take up the role of Non-Executive Chairman from the beginning of Creston's next financial year on 1 April 2010. He will be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.

David Marshall, who was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of the Board in 1999 having previously acted as Chairman from 1984 until 1993, will retire as Chairman at the end of the Group's current financial year on 31 March 2010. He will continue to serve the Board as a Non-Executive Director.


David Grigson has 25 years' experience in the media sector, much of it at main board level. For eight years hwas chief financial officer at Reuters, which he left in 2008 following the merger with The Thomson Corporation. Prior to that, David was finance director of Emap at a time when the business expanded its base and geographical reach to be operational in 11 different countries. In the five years before, David worked at Saatchi & Saatchi and was responsible for building the group's consulting division, working predominantly in the US
