NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following changes in the interests of Directors in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 29 September 2011, Susan Murray, a Non-executive Director of the Company, increased her shareholding in the Company by the purchase of 3,000 Shares at a purchase price of 521.50 pence each per Share.

On 30 September 2011, John Bason, a Non-executive Director of the Company, acquired 1,950 Shares at a price of 512.00 pence each per Share.   On the same day, a further 1,579 Shares were purchased for Mr Bason at a price of 511.95 pence per Share through an ISA and 159 Shares were purchased for Mr Bason at a price of 511.42 pence per Share through a PEP.

As a result of these transactions, Susan Murray now holds 10,000 Shares and John Bason holds 3,688 Shares, representing 0.00053% and 0.00019% of the issued share capital respectively.
