COMPASS GROUP PLC

NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 1 December 2011, Gerhard Poelzl, a PDMR who is responsible for the Company's business in the Pacific region, exercised 50,000 options at 316.25 pence each and 50,000 options at 320.00 pence each.     

He disposed of 80,000 of the resulting Shares at 590.5064 pence per Share and retained the remaining 20,000 Shares.

Following these transactions, Mr Poelzl's shareholding has increased to 158,237 Shares, representing 0.0083% of the Company's issued share capital.
