NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") confirms that Sir Ian Robinson, a non-executive director of the Company, has increased his shareholding in the Company by the purchase of 8,711 ordinary shares at a purchase price of 535.4 pence per share on 28 September 2010.

As a result of this transaction, Sir Ian now holds 15,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the Company, representing 0.0008% of the issued share capital.   The shares are registered in the name of Sir Ian and Lady Robinson.
