Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for a listing of 632,900 ordinary shares of 10 pence each to be
admitted to the Official List.

The shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of Compass
Group PLC and have been issued in connection with the acquisition of the entire
issued share capital of Gruppo Events Limited.
