Compass Group acquisitions in Sweden and the Netherlands

Elior's operations in the Netherlands

We announced on 22 March 2011 that Compass Nederland had agreed to acquire Elior's foodservices operation in the Netherlands, subject to obtaining clearance by the Netherlands Competition Authority.  We are now pleased to confirm that the necessary clearance has been received and the acquisition has completed.

Acquisition of BGP Resurs AB in Sweden

We are pleased to announce that Eurest Services AB in Sweden has acquired BGP Resurs AB ("BGP") from Steringer Resurs AB for a cash consideration of 16m SEK (£1.6m).  BGP is a foodservice company based in northern Sweden serving the business & industry and leisure sectors.  Revenue in the year to 31 December 2010 was 26.5m SEK (£2.6m).

The acquisition of BGP provides a valuable platform from which to grow our food service business in the north of Sweden.
