Compass Group announces acquisitions in foodservices and support services in North America
Compass Group is pleased to announce that Compass Group North America has acquired Coffee Distributing Corp through its subsidiary Canteen Vending Services, Inc ("Canteen") and BW HLS Holdings, Inc through its subsidiary Crothall Services Group, Inc ("Crothall")
COFFEE DISTRIBUTING CORP.
Canteen has acquired the Coffee Distributing Corp.("CDC") from Robert, Alexander and Liza Friedman and the Friedman Family Trust. The gross assets of CDC at 30 November 2010 were US$23.3 million. Revenue in the year to 31 December 2009 was US$63.5m (GB£39.9m).
Building on our existing presence in this sector and now providing us with wider geographic coverage, CDC is the largest office coffee and refreshment service company in the New York, New Jersey and the Connecticut area.
BW HLS HOLDINGS, INC.
Crothall has acquired BW HLS Holdings, Inc ("HLS") from BW Laundry Holdings, LLC and Louis Guilford (an individual). The gross assets of HLS at 31 January 2011 were US$27.2million. Revenue in the year to 30 September 2010 was US$48.2m (GB£30.3m).
Based in Illinois, HLS provides support services to the healthcare sector throughout the central United States.
