Saint-Gobain announces the Construction
of a New Asphalt Shingle Plant to meet growing demand
in the American construction market

Saint-Gobain announces its intention to open a state-of-the-art asphalt roofing shingle plant servicing  the Central Region of the United States. The company is currently evaluating several possible locations throughout the Midwestern United States.

The new facility is expected to cost about 100 million dollars and to employ approximately 125 people.

The construction of this plant will help CertainTeed strengthen its strategic positioning, meet increased market demand for asphalt shingles and reinforce its commitment to top-notch service and easier access to strategically important customers.

Upon completion of this new facility, CertainTeed will have 11 asphalt shingle plants throughout the United States.
