                           Purchase of Own Securities

On 26th March 2003 Colefax Group Plc bought for cancellation a total of 94,361
ordinary shares of 10 pence each (representing 0.47 per cent of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company) at a price of 57 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares there will be 20,090,100 shares in
issue.
