The Company received the following notification on 29 January 2002 from AMVESCAP
PLC ('AMVESCAP') and subsidiary companies, on behalf of discretionary clients.



Following the sale of 289,000 shares on 24 January 2002, it has an interest
(within the meaning of Part VI of section 198 of the Companies Act 1985) in the
ordinary share capital of the Company as detailed below:

Vidacos Nominees Limited                                               1,612,000
Chase Nominess Limited                                                   975,000

TOTAL                                                                  2,587,000

TOTAL INTEREST                                                            11.09%



The Company was also advised that none of these shares are beneficially owned by
AMVESCAP.  Subsidiary companies of AMVESCAP have a large number of portfolio
management clients for whom they act as investment manager and investment
advisor and by virtue of Section 203 of the Companies Act 1985, AMVESCAP is
deemed to have the same interest in the shares.



The Company was further advised that the above holding includes the following
holdings:



INVESCO English and International Trust plc holds 975,000 Ordinary Shares
(4.18%), registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited and INVESCO Perpetual
Global Smaller Companies Fund holds 1,017,000 Ordinary Shares (4.36%),
registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees Limited.
