                                 AGM STATEMENT

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, all ten
resolutions were duly passed.

David Green, Chairman of Colefax Group Plc, speaking at the company's AGM today,
said,

'There has been no improvement in our principal markets, the UK and US, since we
reported our year-end results in July and we continue to experience very tough
trading conditions in Continental Europe. We do not anticipate any major
improvement in the short term.'
