                                 AGM STATEMENT

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, all nine
resolutions were duly passed.

David Green, Chairman of Colefax Group Plc, speaking at the company's AGM today,
said,

'Market conditions have remained the same as those reported at our year end
announcement in July. We are now entering our important selling season but do
not anticipate any significant improvement in current market conditions.'
