Cohort, the independent technology group, is pleased to announce that its subsidiaries MASS and SCS have been awarded contracts totalling in value £6 million.

MASS awarded two contracts worth £3m to supply Electronic Warfare ("EW") Database

MASS has been awarded two contracts to provide its leading EW Data Management System, known as THURBONTM, to customers in the Middle East and Far East with a total value in excess of £3 million.  The first delivery will take place within one month.

In addition to the provision of the THURBON system, MASS will be supplying secure ICT infrastructures, a comprehensive training package, and in-country support.

UK Ministry of Defence ("MOD") Awards SCS Major £3m Training Contract

SCS has been awarded a contract with an initial value of £3 million to provide training and exercise support services for the Joint Warfare Division of the UK's Joint Forces Command.

The contract was awarded to SCS after a competitive tendering process carried out by the MOD's Defence Equipment and Support organisation.  It will be delivered over the period to March 2015, and may be extended at the customer's discretion for a further year.

SCS has held contracts of this type continuously since 1996, initially with the Permanent Joint Headquarters and more recently with its successor organisation, the Joint Forces Command.

Andrew Thomis, Chief Executive Office, Cohort plc said:

"These orders for THURBONTM are excellent news for MASS and the Group.  They are a further mark of success for this important product, which has already been selected as the UK's next generation EW data management system.  The capability it provides has a direct and critical operational impact on modern armed forces."

"SCS's contract award from the Joint Forces Command is also a great achievement and represents a clear recognition that SCS provides the best operational level exercise support services in the defence industry.  Contracts of this type enhance the Group's market leading position and provide an excellent reference for similar opportunities in the UK and overseas."
