Guinness Peat Group plc ("GPG") announces that it has today published the
following documents and that copies are available for inspection at the Document
Viewing Facility of the UK Listing Authority:



  • Guinness Peat Group plc Annual Report and Accounts 2005 containing Notice
    of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 13 June 2006 ("AGM").



  • Guinness Peat Group plc Summarised Annual Report and Accounts 2005 also
    containing Notice of the AGM.



  • Circular from GPG explaining to shareholders the Scrip Dividend
    Alternative being offered in lieu of its Cash Dividend and giving details of
    the proposed Capitalisation Issue.



  • Proxy Form relating to the aforesaid AGM.



  • Form of Election and Notice of Entitlement and Currency Election Form in
    connection with the Scrip Dividend Alternative or the Cash Dividend in
    respect of the year ended 31 December 2005.
