                               Appointment of CFO



Following the successful sale of the UK businesses of Staveley Industries plc ("
Staveley"), the board of GPG is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie
Todd as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 October 2005.



Laurie, currently CEO of Staveley, joined the GPG group with the acquisition of
that company in October 2000 and in September 2004 was appointed a director of
GPG (UK) Holdings plc which position he will retain.  He will also continue with
his existing responsibilities as President of Staveley North America.
