Successful settlement of Insurance Claim


On 23 June 2004, Comino Group issued the following statement in respect of a
claim:-


'The London and Quadrant Housing Trust and Comino plc have resolved their
contractual dispute amicably and out of court. Comino will, in settlement of the
full claim, repay the original contract value together with some allowance for
costs. Comino will now pursue this claim with its Professional Indemnity
insurers.'


The board is pleased to announce that this matter has now been fully and
amicably resolved with both its customer and its insurers and for an amount that
is broadly in line with market expectations.


As a result, the accounts for the half year to 30 September 2004 will show an
exceptional item of approximately £400,000, which represents the net cost to the
company of payments in respect of the claim and legal fees less the amount
recovered from the company's Professional Indemnity insurers.
