The solution will ensure that all documentation received by the authority relating to Revenues and Benefits is stored electronically. Comino's workflow software will then manage the efficient flow of work around the department. Scanning and indexing of all documents will be handled by Comino's E-Docs service, based at offices in Gillingham. Incoming post will be re-directed to the E-Docs service team who will scan and index the documents before forwarding to appropriate administrators within the Revenues team. This unique approach to service delivery is expected to be used as a template elsewhere, with many authorities already showing interest, in ensuring that the service remains local, together with the knowledge that the latest innovations in the fast moving IT sector are built into that service.
