The Company was notified on 31 August 2004 by Universities Superannuation Scheme
Limited ('USS') that, following a recent purchase of 50,000 of the Company's
ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary Shares'), USS is now interested in 485,500
Ordinary Shares, representing 3.28 per cent. of the Company's issued Ordinary
Share capital. This holding is registered in the name of Chase Nominees Ltd
(USS).
