                               Holding in Company


The Company was notified on 6 January 2003 by Liontrust Investment Funds Limited
('Liontrust') of its shareholding in the Company's ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary
Shares'). Liontrust is the operator of four authorised unit trusts, the
underlying assets of which are managed by Liontrust Investment Services Limited.
Both companies are wholly owned by Liontrust Asset Management Plc.

As at the close of business on 19 December 2002 some of these managed funds
collectively held a total of 1,531,622 Ordinary Shares representing 10.48 per
cent. of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital. The Ordinary Shares are
registered in the name of Morgan Nominees Limited.
