                               Holding in Company


The Company was notified on 5 August 2002 by Liontrust Investment Funds Limited
('Liontrust') of its shareholding in the Company's ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary
Shares'). Liontrust is the operator of four authorised unit trusts, the
underlying assets of which are managed by Liontrust Investment Services Limited.
Both companies are wholly owned by Liontrust Asset Management Plc.


As at the close of business on 1 August 2002 some of these managed funds
collectively held 464,300 Ordinary Shares representing 3.18 per cent. of the
Company's issued Ordinary Share capital. The Ordinary Shares are registered in
the name of Morgan Nominees Limited.
