                              Holding in Company


The Company was notified on 30 April 2001 by Standard Life Investments ('SLI')
that on 27 April 2001 SLI acquired 32,000 ordinary 5p shares ('Ordinary
Shares') on behalf of Standard Life Group. Following this purchase Standard
Life Group has a shareholding of 588,276 Ordinary Shares which represents 4.03
per cent. of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital. The Ordinary Shares
are registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
