                           Substantial Shareholder


The Company was notified on 20 December 2000 by Eaglet Investment Trust plc
('Eaglet') that on 19 December 2000 Eaglet sold 257,300 ordinary 5p shares of
the Company ('Ordinary Shares').


Following this transaction Eaglet is currently interested in 1,279,778
Ordinary Shares representing 8.76 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary
share capital.


The Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees
Ltd.
