                           Substantial Shareholder


The Company was notified on 14 December 2000 by Eaglet Investment Trust plc
('Eaglet') that on 12 December 2000 Eaglet sold 360,000 ordinary 5p shares of
the Company ('Ordinary Shares').

Following this transaction Eaglet is currently interested in 1,537,078
Ordinary Shares representing 10.52 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary
share capital.

The Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees
Ltd.
