The  Board of CML is pleased to announce the appointment  of
Mr  Christopher Arthur Gurry as an Executive Director of the
Company with effect from 3 April 2000.

Mr C.A. Gurry has not held any directorships in any publicly
quoted company in any of the previous five years.

The   Board  confirms,  that  in  respect  of  C.A.   Gurrys
appointment, there are no details to disclose in  accordance
with sections 6.F2 (b) - (g) of the Listing Rules.
