                             Purchase of own shares

On 8 April 2003 CLS purchased 319,964 ordinary shares at 192p per share under
its existing authority to make market purchases. Following the cancellation of
these 319,964 ordinary shares, CLS's issued share capital will stand at
92,663,547.
