                            PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES


On 29 June 2001, CLS purchased 40,000 Ordinary Shares at 230p per share under
its existing authority to make market purchases. Following the cancellation of
these 40,000 Ordinary Shares, CLS's issued share capital now stands at
106,878,493 Ordinary Shares.
