APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER

Falanx Group (AIM:FLX), the global intelligence, security and cyber defence provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Dawson as Chief Finance Officer with immediate effect.

Craig joins Falanx for an initial period of 6 months and will, ex-officio, attend board meetings and structure the financial organisation and planning of Falanx Group. Craig is not joining the Board of the Company. 

Prior to Falanx, Craig served as Finance Director and Executive Committee member at Global Strategies Group (London) ("Global"). Global Strategies Group is a worldwide defence organisation offering technology, consultancy and services to meet National Security, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Enterprise Risk Management needs.  Global at one stage generated annual turnover in excess of $500m, with operations stretching over 5 continents and consisting of approximately 5,000 employees and contractors.

Craig had direct oversight of the Group Finance function in London and also oversaw the international subsidiary finance functions. In the 6 years at Global, Craig played a key role in:

·   An equity raise of $73m on the NASDAQ and the acquisition of STG Inc, a Cyber Security, Software Development, Intelligence and Analytics company servicing the US Government, for $165.5m.

·   Trebling revenue and EBITDA of the Security Services arm of Global between 2010 and 2013 at a CAGR of 41%.

·   Financial reporting, structure and taxation planning of the $120m IPO of Global Defence Technology & Systems, Inc. ("GTEC") on the NASDAQ in 2009. At the time of IPO, GTEC enjoyed more than $200m in revenue and $15m of EBITDA. After making two acquisitions in 2010, it was sold at a 50% premium above its share price to Ares Management (a PE enterprise) in April 2011.

Prior to joining Global, Craig performed audit and advisory assurance services at Deloitte LLP for a broad range of clients, including FTSE listed institutions in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. Craig acted for companies such as: Anite Plc, producer of wireless test systems; Bell Microproducts, a technology wholesaler; BancTec, a global leader in providing financial transaction automation and document management; and Damovo, a provider of technology enabled solutions to enterprises.
