Glen Group PLC 22 February 2005 Glen Group plc New sales appointments at Glen Group as operations roll out into England Edinburgh based, Glen Group plc, the AIM listed IT and communications integration business announce the recruitment of its first English based sales executives through its operating company Glen Communications Limited ('Glen') as it prepares to open the first office outside Scotland. The new sales executives will cover an area broadly equivalent to Yorkshire and Northumberland and once the customer base has grown sufficiently it is expected a local office will be opened. At the same time, Glen has increased its Scottish sales operation and by early March, expects to have eight sales executives dedicated to growing their operations in Scotland and the North of England. Glen will continue to enlarge this sales operation, hiring additional experienced sales professionals throughout the year as it expands its sphere of operations throughout the UK. This recruitment is necessary to achieve the Group's strategy of providing a local presence with national support for its portfolio of integrated IT and communications products and services, focused on the use of Internet Protocol (IP) technologies. Glen is also intending to expand through acquisition into related services and into other geographic areas when suitable target companies have been identified. Commenting on the appointments and roll out, Graham J Duncan, Glen's Chief Executive commented: 'I am pleased that we have been able to move quickly after our successful AIM listing at the beginning of December last year. Our business is very focused on the execution of a strategy that will see us deploy a sales, sales support, IT and IT support organisation throughout the UK. Focused on selling and supporting a wide range of communication and IT services, we believe that we can deliver a one-stop-shop approach to the complicated business of integrating these types of services. Although large corporate organisations tend to have in-house expertise, SMEs do not have these resources. With many applications, including voice services, moving to adopt IP technologies, we believe that a significant market is opening up for an integration skill set. We intend to capitalise on this change, which we believe will have profound implications over time for the way that SMEs organise and access their systems.'
