Contract Win - British Open Golf

 

 

Pinnacle Technology Group plc, (AIM: PINN) the AIM listed provider of cloud based technology solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contracts to supply the secure voice and data networks for the Johnnie Walker Championship, the Women's British Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

 

Johnny Walker Tournament
The Company is pleased to announce that is has been awarded the contract to supply the secure voice and data network, including broadcast media services, for the 2012 Johnny Walker Golf Tournament. Sponsored by Diageo, the 2012 Johnnie Walker Championship will be held over The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, which is also the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup, this is one of the leading events on The PGA European Tour International Schedule and will welcome some of the best golfers in the world to Gleneagles 23rd - 26th August.

 

Women's British Open

The Company is also pleased to announce that is has been awarded the contract to supply the voice and data network, including broadcast media services, for the 2012 Women's British Open. Sponsored by Ricoh, The 2012 Women's British Open will be held for the first time at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, from 13th to 16th September.


Alfred Dunhill Championship
The Company is also pleased to announce that is has been awarded the contract to supply the secure voice and data network, including broadcast media services, for the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. With a prize fund of $5,000,000, this prestigious event has quickly become one of the premier events on The European Tour, as the greats of the game and the world of celebrity join in an entertaining union over three of Scotland's finest links courses - Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrew's between the 4th to 7th October 2012.

The contracts have been awarded by IMG Group ("IMG") who will manage the events where Pinnacle will provide a full range of broadband, data and hosted voice services for IMG. IMG is a global sports and media business with 3,000 employees operating in 30 countries around the globe. IMG Media is the world's largest independent producer and distributor of sports programming.

 

 

Completed Contract - BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend
Pinnacle is pleased to announce that it successfully delivered the contract to provide the data connectivity for the broadcasting of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, which was held at Hackney Marshes on 23rd and 24th June 2012. BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend is the UK's biggest free-ticketed festival and was delivered utilising Pinnacle's fibre network which has been installed for BBC International's broadcast coverage of the Olympics at the Stratford Broadcast Tower; a 22-storey building situated at the edge of the Olympic Park with commanding views overlooking the Olympic Stadium. The BBC Radio 1 Weekend event was delivered from the Hackney stages to the Broadcast tower via a combination of 5.4GHz Point-to-Point WiFi and 1.4 Gbps wireless laser technology, making it the BBC's largest event ever broadcast over IP technology.
