Contracts completed - Pope's visit

Pinnacle Telecom Group plc, (AIM: PINN) the AIM listed provider of integrated telecommunications solutions, is pleased to announce that it successfully completed a contract to provide temporary voice and data networks which were used to cover the Pope's first-ever state visit to Britain.

Delivering a combination of traditional voice, hosted voice, IP technologies and data, Pinnacle's circuits were used for security services and to broadcast sound for the BBC, as well as church radio stations.

Commenting on the completed contract, Alan Bonner, CEO of Pinnacle, said: "Providing the network infrastructure that underpinned the BBC's coverage of the Pope's first-ever state visit to Britain, was a great opportunity to showcase our industry expertise. By using a combination of fixed line connectivity via analogue, digital and leased lines, adding broadband for our Sipswitch hosted voice service and security via IP CCTV, Pinnacle have become specialists in the rapid deployment of temporary networks. For the Pope's visit to Cofton Park in Birmingham, we added additional capacity in the form of a 20Mb leased line circuit. Our expertise of combining traditional telephony with next generation technologies has produced excellent results and we expect to win further high-profile contracts this year."
