Open Golf - Carnoustie

 

Pinnacle Telecom Group plc, (AIM: PINN) the AIM listed provider of cloud based technology solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to supply the voice and data network for the Women's British Open, which takes place at Carnoustie from July 28th to July 31st 2011.

 

The contract has been awarded by IMG Group ("IMG") who will manage the event at Carnoustie where Pinnacle will provide a full range of broadband, data and hosted voice services for IMG. IMG is a global sports and media business, founded in 1960 by Mark McCormack and golf legend Arnold Palmer, acquired in 2004 by renowned entrepreneurial pioneer Ted Forstmann. IMG has 3,000 employees operating in 30 countries around the globe. BBC Radio1 Big Weekend

 

The company is also pleased to announce that is successfully completed the contracts to provide the voice and data connectivity for the BBC coverage of the UK local elections, which will took place on the 5th May 2011 and the contract to provide the voice and data connectivity for Europe's biggest free festival, BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, which was held at Carlisle on 14th & 15th May 2011 and featured, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance and Nicole Scherzinger.

 

 

Commenting on the new contract, Alan Bonner, CEO of Pinnacle, said: "We continue to make good progress and this contract win for the British Open Golf at Carnoustie, breaks Pinnacle into a new market for temporary voice and data network services. It is also our first contract with IMG Group, a world-class organisation operating in 30 countries around the globe and we are delighted to be working with the team at IMG.

 

We are also finalising the Company's interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2011, which will be issued by the end of June."
