DIRECTOR HOLDINGS IN COMPANY

Cardinal Resources plc (AIM:CDL) ('Cardinal' or 'the Company'), an independent
oil and gas production and exploration company operating in Ukraine, was today
notified that Marcus Stanton, Non-Executive Director of Cardinal, today
purchased 50,000 Cardinal Ordinary Shares at a price of 18.5p.

Mr. Stanton's total holding in the Company now equals 175,000 Cardinal Ordinary
Shares, or 0.15% of the issued share capital.
