The Board of Directors of Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers") is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Corbett as an independent non-executive director, subject to UK regulatory approval, and as a member of the Audit, Risk, Remuneration and Nomination and Governance Committees with effect from 3 June 2014.

 

Oliver Corbett was group chief financial officer of LCH.Clearnet Group Limited until May 2014 and has been a non-executive director of Rathbone Brothers plc since March 2006. He is a Chartered Accountant and worked for SG Warburg, Phoenix Securities (later Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette) and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he was managing director of investment banking. He was group finance director of Novae Group plc from October 2003 to November 2012.   

 

There are no further details in relation to this new director which require disclosure pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
