TRADING STATEMENT
The Board of Clarksons is pleased to announce that trading for the Group for
the year ending 31 December 2000 is expected to very substantially exceed
market expectations both in terms of turnover and profit.
The strong performance of the Company reflects both the increased spread of
its activities and the benefits derived in the broking divisions from
increased market activity and higher freight rates.
