CLARKSON PLC ('Clarksons')
REBRANDING IN AUSTRALASIA/SOUTH AFRICA
With effect from 1 January 2005, Clarkson's subsidiaries in Australia, New
Zealand and 1 February South Africa will change their names from Austral
Chartering (Pty) Limited, Beacon Chartering & Shipping Limited and Afromar (Pty)
Limited to Clarkson Australia (Pty) Limited, Clarkson New Zealand Limited and
Clarkson South Africa Limited, respectively.
The changes of name are part of the ongoing globalisation strategy of the group
through alignment of the Clarkson brand name.
Managing Director of Australia, David Oakley says ' The outstanding history and
established success of these group companies continues to provide growth and
create opportunities to enhance the groups key activities in the Pacific
markets. Clarkson Pacific clients will continue to benefit through greater
access to our products.'
Richard Fulford-Smith, Group Chief Executive, added 'The group is committed to
significantly expanding its activities in the Pacific rim. The brand of
Clarksons should be instantly recognisable to the clients of all our offices
globally, including Clarkson Pacific and South Africa.'
